My Background
My career has taken me through science, technology, and business. I studied geology and geochemistry before finding my way into sales, where I've been able to combine my technical background with an interest in business development and building relationships.
Today, I work in industrial sales, helping businesses evaluate equipment, solve technical challenges, and make informed decisions about their operations. Over the course of my career, I've generated approximately $15 million in sales across industrial equipment, water infrastructure, and technology markets.
Professional Experience
Atlas Copco | Industrial Sales Manager
At Atlas Copco, I work with manufacturers, industrial facilities, and engineering teams throughout Colorado to develop compressed air solutions.
My work involves compressor sizing, system assessments, air treatment, equipment selection, distributor development, and technical sales. I enjoy getting into the details of an application and figuring out what actually makes sense for the customer.
In 2026, I've already exceeded 150% of my annual sales target.
Veralto | Regional Sales & Account Management
At Veralto, I worked in water infrastructure, flow measurement, analytical instrumentation, and related services.
As a Regional Sales Manager with McCrometer, I managed a territory representing approximately $5 million in annual revenue, developing major accounts, working with distributors, and helping customers solve technical challenges.
Previously, at Hach, I managed approximately $7.5 million in annual service contract revenue and helped grow the business through account development and customer retention.
Enterprise Technology & Business Development
Earlier in my career, I worked in enterprise technology sales, managing customer accounts and selling software, automation, and information management solutions.
These roles gave me experience in strategic account management, consultative selling, and working with customers across a variety of industries.
A Foundation in Science
I studied geology at Florida State University and pursued graduate-level coursework and research in geochemistry.
My research experience included work at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and the Antarctic Marine Geology Research Facility.
I also gained field experience in construction, mining, and aggregate operations in geotechnical applications
My scientific background influences how I approach problems today. I like understanding the details, asking questions, and using data to make informed decisions.
Beyond the Professional World
Outside of work, I spend as much time outdoors as I can. I'm an avid mountain biker and also enjoy sailing, backcountry skiing, hiking, golf, fishing, and traveling. I've always been drawn to adventure and tend to enjoy Type 2 fun.
I like trying new things and picking up new hobbies. Whether it's a long day in the mountains, a challenging bike ride, or learning to do something I've never done before, I prefer being out doing something over sitting inside.
I'm naturally curious and tend to go down rabbit holes learning about whatever catches my interest. Some of those interests include investing, economics, history, philosophy, and entrepreneurship.
I'm also an avid reader. A few of my favorite books are Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, The Odyssey by Homer, and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
There's always something new to learn, somewhere new to explore, or a skill worth getting better at.
Writing & Professional Interests
I started this website as a place to share things I've learned throughout my career and explore topics that interest me.
Much of my writing focuses on industrial technology, compressed air systems, technical sales, and business development, but I also enjoy exploring broader topics in science, business, and technology.
The articles here reflect my own experiences, interests, and perspectives.
Let's Connect
I'm always interested in connecting with people working in industrial technology, engineering, sales, and business development, or anyone with interesting ideas and experiences to share.
